During a  ten-week residency fellowship
at the USF Kulturhuset in Bergen,
Norway in 2005, a new project
called The Mourning Drawings developed
.

A body of three-dimensional drawings that reflect on themes of beauty, sexuality, nature
and death, these ten pieces are made from inkjet printed photography on paper
and fabrics, hand embroidery, crochet and other needlework on silk, and life-size
figure drawings made of charcoal, pastel, gesso, and ink on paper.
